When joining an MLM, the first thing we are asked to do is to make a list of every person that we know. I’ve found that most new distbutors are not willing to do this. There are many reasos why people don’t want to to this, it can just be awkward and people don’t want to try and push products on people that they know and potentially ruin friendships. I understand why people are hesitant to approach their warm market

What makes this even more difficult is that we all have a friend that we know would be awesome in MLM. We know they have what it takes and have the potential to be a top earner in any company, but for whatever reason, it is not for them. They don’t understand the business model and have no desire to learn about it. The are happy and content with where they are in life. As much as you want to, don’t keep pushing your MLM on them, it is nearly impossible to change someone’s mind. If someone isn’t hungry and motivated to work the business, they are destined for failure anyhow. And those are the type of people you are looking for and want to work with, those that want to make a change, are motivated, and will be coach-able and willing to learn.

Here is great way to approach your warm market and let them know about your new MLM business. It is important to contact everyone that you know and let them know what you are doing. The people on your list don’t need to buy anything from you, and don’t need to join your business, but they MUST know what your business is. The purpose is to get the people that you know, to refer you to the people that they know. This can be much more powerful and effective than getting your Aunt Margie to join you in your business, who signed up only because she wants to make you happy.

Think about it, if you know a 100 people, who all know 100 people, you can potentially be the go-to-guy/girl for whatever your business is for that circle of 10,000 people.

Here is an example of what you might say to your Aunt Margie at the family Thanksgiving dinner:

Your aunt Margie says, “well hello there sweety pie, what’s new with you?”

And you reply,”Hi aunt Margie, I’m running my own home based business where we provide services and widgets for people looking for reliable services and widgets. Will you do me a small favor to help me out?

Aunt Margie answers, “Sure honey, what can I do for you?”

And you say, “If you ever come across anyone that is looking for services and widgets, give them my number, direct them to my website, and give them my card”. (Hand aunt Margie a few of your business cards to give out.)

Margie says, “of course I will, in fact, I was just talking with Bertha over at the salon on Tuesday and she mentioned she was looking for some new widgets, I’ll have her check out your website.”

Can you see how the simple request for referrals can be much easier and less awkward than trying to get someone to join you in your MLM business. People will be happy to help you out. I am always referring people I know to others when it comes up in conversation. For example, if someone needs a new roof done, I tell them to call up my roofer friend Bob, if someone needs a mortgage, I give them my mortgage guy Pat’s information. Word of mouth referrals happen all of the time and can be a very powerful way to grow your business.

Be proud of the business your are in, let everyone know, ask them to refer you if they ever come across someone looking for what you are providing. The family member or friend you informed about your business will probably go home and check out your website anyhow, if they are interested, they’ll let you know. This is a very simple and effective way of approaching your warm market. Remember, you don’t need them to join your business, but your do need their referrals, which are probably better to have anyway.

-

Are you looking for information on the Stella and Dot home business opportunity? I haven’t heard much about this company, apparently they are growing pretty fast. After I noticed a $255 charge on me and my wife’s bank account, I decided to do a Stella And Dot review. Now I don’t plan to give a review of the their products, which is jewelry, but I will give a Stella And Dot Review on their business opportunity, and my opinion on if this is a home business you should get involved with.

Stella And Dot Review – Who Are Stella And Dot?

Have you heard of Lia Sophia? Stella And Dot is basically the same concept. Stella And Dot is a jewelry company that uses the network marketing business model. This means that anyone who pays the start up fee of $199 can become an independent distributor, or what they call “Stylist”. Those that sign up for the home business can sell products anyway that they want, the most popular way will be through home parties where the person hosting the party will be given a gift, or some sort of compensation for hosting the party. If having home parties, and asking others to host home parties is not your thing, this business is probably not for you.

The only negative thing I have to say in this Stella And Dot review of their home based business opportunity is that their products are not proprietary. This means that they aren’t exclusive to just Stella And Dot Stylists. Sure, they jewelry is probably great quality and looks nice and everything. But the problem is that if someone want to buy a bracelet, necklace, or earrings, their are dozens of stores to chose from. The customer may not be able to get the exact same piece of jewelry they would get from Stella And Dot, but I’m sure they could find something close that is also high quality, and maybe even cheaper. Remember, as a Stella And Dot Stylist (distributor), you want your customers buying from you because they actually want what you have, not because they are at a party and feel obligated. So far, my Stella And Dot review is negative because they don’t have proprietary products, but this isn’t necessarily a deal breaker.

Stella And Dot Review – Compensation Plan

Stella And Dot distributors are paid a 25% commission on all products that they sell. So their retail sales commissions will depend entirely on how much they sell. Distributors are also able to build a team of distributors, and earn volume on their team, 4 levels deep. Now this is where I think most new distributors will make their mistake. Most will focus solely on selling products, but the real money lies in build a team of distributors.

Stella And Dot Review

You can see from the chart above how the compensation plans works, and you the percentages go up the higher in rank you go. Remember, in any network marketing company, the big money comes from recruiting, however, decent money can be made by retailing products if you have a quality product.

In conclusion to my Stella And Dot review, this looks like a legitimate company that is on the move and could be poised for big growth globally. I don’t like the fact that they don’t have proprietary products, and that is on my “stay away” list. But if you are someone that loves jewelry, lost talking to people, and has no problem asking people to host home parties for you, you could do well in this business.

There is a new text message business opportunity, network marketing opportunity, mlm, or whatever it is you want to call it, that recently launched and my email inbox has been getting bombarded with what is claiming to be a “hot new ground floor opportunity”, so I decided to do a quick Cash Texts review to give you my thoughts and to help you decide if this is right for you.

Cash Texts Review – How It Works

I looked around a little bit for an unbiased Cash Texts review and was unable to find one. Everything I found was from someone promoting the Cash Texts opportunity, so of course they were hyping it up like it was the next big thing, trying to get you to join. I want to start off by letting you know that I am not involved with Cash Texts’ money making opportunity in any way, so my Cash Texts review will be completely unbiased and my personal opinion.

The concept behind Cash Texts actually sounds pretty good at first glance. You sign up and register your phone number in their system. Once your phone number is in the system, they can send you text message advertisments, which, in my opinion, will get annoying pretty quick. The plus side is that you will get paid $.05 for every message that they send you, up to 5 a day maximum. The ads are supposed to be targeted to you and relevant to things you like and are described as “irresistible daily deals”. You aren’t required to open the ad or click on the ad the ad to get paid.

So $.05 multiplied by 5 is $.25 a day, big friggin deal right?

Not so fast, Cash Texts allows you to refer people and make $.03 on every text message they receive. And you will get paid $.03 on everyone they refer, all the way down to 5 levels. So the real way to make money with the Cash Texts program is to refer as many people as you can, and have them do the same. At only $.03 per text, you are going to need to refer a lot of people to make any real money.

Cash Texts Review – Why People Will Join

The is no cost to get signed up with Cash Texts, which will make it super easy to refer other people into the business. While having no start up cost might seem like a good thing, it is also going to attract a ton of people that are lazy and looking to get rich quick. I always try to avoid and free businesses and money making opportunities, they just never seem to work out. Because anyone can join and refer people, I suspect that many people will join and not register their own number, but still try to make money with this. If this happens, and no one is registering their number, it won’t work. This is just one of the reasons I’m giving a negative Cash Texts review.

Another reason this won’t work is because the ads will become ineffective very quickly. Think about it, if you are getting text message ads everyday, what are you going to do? You are going to open it up and delete real quick without paying much attention to it.

The people promoting this program are comparing it Groupon, but instead of getting deals via email, you will be getting them via text message. This is a good way to promote it, however, I think that text messages are too personal, people don’t want to receive ads on their phone. Our email inboxes are flooded with enough spam already, we don’t need the same thing happening on our phones.

In conclusion to my Cash Texts reviews, my final word is to recommend that don’t waste your time withthis. The idea sounds somewhat good in theory, but it will never work. Well, I shouldn’t say “never”, but if it does work end up working out, I’d be very surprised. Also, it doesn’t past one of the simple requirements I have for getting involved with any kind of online business, which is that they have a contact number listed on their website. If there is not a number listed, where you can call and talk to a real person, I always recommend staying away. And I couldn’t find a number on their home page.

If your are thinking about joining Bidify’s affiliate program and are looking for an unbiased Bidify review, you have are in the right place. First I want to let you know that I am not an affiliate for Bidify and I’m not involved in their business opportunity in any way nor do I plan on joining. Having been involved in internet/networking markeketing for the past 5 years, I think I’m qualified to give an honest Bidify review that will help you decide if it is right for you.

Bidify Review – What The Heck Is Bidify?

Bidify is an affiliate program for the penny auction site www.Bidsson.com. A penny auction site is simply a site that holds auctions, and the price increases by just a penny with each bid. You will often see these sites advertising that they just sold a brand new car for only $805. But here’s the catch, they charge for bids, and the costs can be up to $1 per bid. So if you figure out the math on that $850 brand new car, if the price started at $0, and increased by just 1 penny with each bid, (850 x 100) that is $85,000 if each bid costs $1. And if the car originally cost $30,000, then the auction site made $55,000 from the sale of bids.

So before I can do a Bidify review, we have to to decide if penny auctions are even legitimate and legal. Penny auctions have been around for awhile, and technically they are considered legal. But there are a few things to look out for. Who knows if you are bidding against a real person, or an employee or bot that has been programmed to automatically bid to drive the price up and prevent the company from taking a loss. In my opinion, the whole penny auction concept is kind of weird and set up to make things sound better than they are, it all seems a little scammy to me. But this doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t make money with it.

The concept is pretty simple, Bidify affiliates get paid for bringing in other Bidify affiliates, and for generating customers that participate in the site’s auctions. My Bidify review is pretty much the same for any legitimate money making opportunity, it can work if you stay focused on this one business and know how to market it. The biggest mistake I see people making is jumping from opportunity to opportunity trying to find the next best things.

I’m not saying Bidify is a scam, they are not based in the U.S. but apparently they have hired a U.S. attorney named Kevin Thompson to make sure they are complying with all of the laws. Seeing that they are taking this precaution shows they are trying to set themselves up for longevity.

Bidify Review – Can You Really Make Money With Bidify?

People seem to love these auctions and if you are able to sign up other affiliates and acquire customers, you will be able to make money with Bidify. Although Bidify is a legitimate business, I can’t can’t finish my Bidify review without advising you to be careful. I wouldn’t put my future into a penny auction site. If you already have a large following or list to email this business opportunity, then it may be worth a shot and something to just “play around with”. What your success with Bidify, or really in any business online comes down to is your ability to generate leads. Leads are the lifeblood of your success online, you need to be able to consistently generate leads online in order to be successful.

-

CloudZow Review

If you are looking for a CloudZow review you are in the right place. First let me start out by saying that I’m not a CloudZow affiliate or in any way tied to them. It is hard to find a real unbiased CloudZow review because everything you come across will be from a CloudZow affiliate trying to get you to join them in the business, so they will hype up the opportunity and service tremendously.

An Unbiased CloudZow Review

I originally received an email about this, “once in a lifetime”, “GROUND FLOOR”, opportunity and to be honest, it sounds great. But just about every business opportunity sounds great. The guys and girls behind these new business opportunities are marketing geniuses and know how to effectively use direct response marketing in their copy-writing and videos. This is a great skill to have and these tactics definitely work, but for someone like myself that is familiar with these tactics and have seen them many times before knows that it is all hype. My first gut feeling about CloudZow is skepticism, but I could be wrong.

CloudZow provides a backup service for your computer so that you don’t lose any valuable information if it crashes. The cost of the service is only $5. At the time of this writing the company is still very new, it has only been out a week, so a true CloudZow review will be impossible to find. I’m sure no affiliates have been paid yet, and it is impossible to know how well the backup service really works.

CloudZow Review – A Few Red Flags

There are a few red flags that go up for me which is why I am giving a somewhat negative CloudZow review. The first red flag is that there is no cost to take part in their business opportunity. The problem I see with this is that there will be many people joining for free just to try and make money, with no intention of actually paying for the service. This will lead to a lot of people building a large team, but with no sales or volume being generated, which ultimately is a waste of time for everyone. One major improvement the people over at CloudZow could make is to require that anyone who wants to take part in the business opportunity must also be a paying customer. One easy way for an affiliate to solve this problem is to make a requirement for anyone that wants to join their team, must pay for the service. Create a higher point of entry so you don’t waste your time with people that aren’t serious. If someone won’t pay $5 a month to try out the service, they are most likely a waste time anyway. This will also set a precedent and your team members will follow suit and only allow paying customers to join. This will insure you build a team of paying customers and that volume is being generated within your organization.

Another thing that makes my CloudZow review not so positive is that it is a “Virtual Product”. This is always one of the things to look out for when choosing a home business to be a part of. Typically you want to work with a company that has a real, tangible product. However, with technology these days, I think it is possible to have a legitimate business with a virtual product. There are virtual products that provide an actual use. The main question you need to ask yourself before joining CloudZow is, would I pay for this product even if I wasn’t involved with business opportunity? If the answer is no, then you probably should not join.

In conclusion to my CloudZow review, I just want to make it clear that most people will fail with this business. That doesn’t mean that it is a scam or not a legitmate business. This is just the nature of the business. In fact, 96% of all new businesses fail within the first 10 years. Starting a business is challenging and if you don’t have a specific plan to follow, you’re doomed for failure. If you have a way to generate consistent leads, you should be able to make money with CloudZow, or any business.

Many people have negative preconceived notions on what network marketing, mlm, direct selling, or whatever you want to call it, is all about. There are many people who automatically think, “pyramid scam”, when they here those dreaded 3 letters, MLM. I’m sure you already know this, but in case you don’t, MLM stands for multi level marketing. It gets this name because as a distributor for a company, you get paid on multiple levels within the organization that you create.

Most of the people that associate MLMs with “pyramid scams” are people that are uninformed on how the business model actually works. They are closed minded people and no matter what you tell them, they just won’t get it. These are the type of people you don’t want to work with and definitely don’t want to join you in your MLM business. There is enough information out there, and anyone with half a brain can do some research and find out the legitimacy of the the MLM business model.

There are many people who join a MLM with false hopes and dreams. They expect it to be “easy money”, and when they find out that real work is actually involved, they give up and quit. Then they blame their upline, they blame the company, they blame the entire industry as to why the failed. They go around talking badly about network marketing, when the reality is that it was their own fault that they failed.

Network marketing gives someone to the potential to earn a lot of money, but that doesn’t mean it is going to be easy. It is just like any other job or career. It takes effort and hard work to succeed. It takes time to learn and acquire the skills necessary to be a top earner in this industry. No one just walks right in and is immediately earning 6 figure a year. So if you decide to join a network marketing company, be prepared to put in the effort required, it is definitely worth it.

Now that I talked about some of the reasons people see MLMs as bad or negative, I’m going to tell you a simple way to get past that. It can be hard to hear friends and family tell you that you are dumb for joining, those are the people the closest to you and it is only natural to seek their support and approval. Often time a spouse doesn’t “get it” either and might think you are wasting your time, which can be a difficult thing to go through. If it is a spouse, try to educate him/her on how the business model works. There a ton of third party tools available that explain how the network marketing business works and the benefits of it. As for everyone else in your life that doesn’t agree with your decision, use that as fuel to succeed. Work your hardest to prove them wrong. You will get the last laugh and that can be a very motivating thing to shoot for. In the end, when they see your checks, they will be asking, “hey, how can I get involved with this?”

I’m going to get right to the point. You should never, under any circumstances, pay for someone’s start up into your networking marketing business. The is a newbie mistake and I’ve often seen newbies in the industry offering to “pay your way in”.

There is really no reason to ever pay someone’s start up fee into your network marketing business, if you do this you might as well just flush your money down the toilet. At least that way you could turn it into a cool youtube video or something. If someone doesn’t have the money to get started, which is normally a very small amount, the chances are almost 100% that they will not be of any value to you and your business. With no money invested, they have absolutely nothing to lose and will not take the business seriously.

There will be people who ask to have their start up fee paid for, and then promise to go out and sponsor 50 people into the business, and sell 100 orders of whatever product it is that you are selling. As a newbie you will be eager to get someone enrolled in your business, and this will all sound good, but don’t make the mistake and fall for this person’s promises, you will just be disappointed.

There is a low start up fee to get enrolled in any business, this is just how it works and is the cost of doing business. If someone doesn’t want to pay the start up fee, forget about them and move on to the next person. The fact of the matter is if someone is genuinely interested and serious in joining you and your business opportunity, they will find a way to pay for the start up costs.

In general, I already think the start up costs are already too low for most businesses. The low sign up fees attract the wrong kind of people, which are people looking for quick cash or some kind of get rich quick scheme. These people sign up, and expect money to fall from the sky into their lap. When they realize that real work and effort is involved, they end up quitting and it is a waste of their own time and their sponsors time. I also think that with little money invested, people don’t treat the business as seriously as if they had invested $10,000 to $100,000 to get started. When someone has something to lose they will usually do anything and everything they can make make their business work. Because the risk is so low in the network marketing industry, people typically give minimal effort and don’t succeed. Then these same people blame their upline, blame the company, blame the entire industry in general, and blame everything except for the real cause, which is themselves.

The bottom line is…don’t ever pay someone’s way into you business, you’ll end up regretting it.

Everyday new people are coming into the internet marketing world. Maybe the are involved in a network marketing business or maybe they just want to be an affiliate marketer, either way the concepts are the same. Basically, it all comes down to traffic. Getting visitors to your website is the main component when trying make money online.

There are many different ways to get traffic, for the purpose of this post I’m going to focus solely on search engine traffic, which is the best kind because it is completely free. I take that back, it is not completely free, search engine is free in regards to money, but you will pay for it with your time.

Getting search engine traffic is not easy and is not something that is going to happen overnight. I often see “newbies” that set up a site, and the first thing they do is focus on the cosmetic appearance of the site. They spend hours creating a fancy looking header and creating nice looking images so their site looks nice. This is the wrong way to go about it. The cosmetic look of your website does not really matter at first because you are not getting any traffic. You can always change the look little by little as time goes by.

When launching a new site, the focus should be on traffic generating tasks such as adding new content on a regular basis. When I launch a new site, I focus on adding new blog posts for the first few months. After I see I’m getting some traffic, I then start to customize the look of the site, and add my offers and opt in boxes. Most people go about it the wrong way, the worry about the look of the site before they are even getting any traffic.

In my opinion and from my experience, my best recommendation is to set yourself a schedule to add new blog posts, and stick to it. If you plan on adding 5 new blog posts a weeks, stick to it. Also, don’t add 10 new blog posts in one day, then take the month off. The search engines like to see new content added on a regular basis.

Be patient. Getting traffic takes time, don’t expect people to flock to your site the first week, month,or even six months you have it up. Expect to not see many visitor for awhile. This is just part of the process. Stay focused on adding new and valuable content, and over the course of time your content will grow and grow, and so will you traffic. I think many people give up way to soon. A few months go by and they aren’t seeing any traffic, so they get discouraged and give up. They key is to stay on course while the others are giving up.

The things I’ve talked in this post are the very basics, there is much more to getting traffic that can not be talked about in just one post. There is keyword research, keyword competition, keyword density, backlinking, and many other variables that will play apart in how much traffic you get. But if you’re a newbie, following the advice I listed above will put you on the right track.

Building a network marketing business is both easy and hard. I know that is a contradictory statement, but let me explain. Now when I say “building a network marketing business”, I’m referring to being a distributor for an existing company, not starting a brand new network marketing company from scratch, because that is extremely hard to do. I wanted to clarify that so there is no confusion.

Anyhow, building your business with a network marketing company is easy because it is something that anyone can learn to do. The skills it takes to be successful are all learnable skills. Some may argue this point, but I genuinely believe that with effort, anyone can be successful in the network marketing industry. As “newbies” we all suck and are clueless as to where to begin, but with consistent work, the skills needed to be successful will grow. The key words in the previous 2 sentences are “effort” and “consistent”. Anyone can give effort, which is really just another word for “try”. And being consistent takes discipine, which can be tough, but there are certain steps you can take in your daily life to insure you stay consistent in your efforts.

Do not sign up as a distributor for a network marketing company under the impression that is going to be “easy money”, because it won’t be. If you’re new to the industry, you will for sure struggle for your first year. This industry is just like anything else, it takes time to learn how to effectively do things. You will have to learn marketing, and how to talk to people. You don’t walk into any profession or job and are instantly an expert, why would network marketing be any different. Expect to struggle at first and expect to put in the time and effort needed to learn and acquire the skills necessary to be successful.

The formula for success is actually pretty simple. It comes down to taking the necessary steps and actions that will make you successful on a consistent daily basis, year after year. Every successful person, in any industry will tell you that it takes time to get to that point. People just don’t wake up one day at 45 years old and are successful. These people have taken the consistent daily actions needed to be successful. If you are spending 5 nights a week at the bar, or playing video games for 5 hours every night, you are not on a course to success. Those are the actions of unsuccessful people. You need to evaluate your everyday daily activities and if what you are doing is not helping you reach your goals in some way, give up that activity and trade it in for something else more productive.

So what are the activities of successful people?

If you are lost and have no idea of what types of things to do to put you on the path to success, I would first recommend reading a self help, or motivational book of some kind for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. This alone can have a great impact on your success and outlook on life. By reading reading just 30 minutes a day, 7 days a week, you will for sure finish 1 book a month. Over the course of a year you will have read 12 motivational books which will for sure have some impact on the way you decide to live your life. A good book to start with is The Slight Edge By Jeff Olson.

It really doesn’t matter what industry or business you are in, surround yourself with successful people, and do what they do, and overtime, you’ll see the results they see.

The key is to stay consistent and realize you won’t see results overnight. Things take time to develop. It takes time to learn new things and how to best apply the things you have learned. Many people give up way too soon. There will come a point where you want to give up, but if you stick with, when the majority of others would give up, you will be happy that you did.

Having your own blog and creating your own brand is very important when building your primary network marketing business. Your blog is going to act as your central hub of all of your activity. By having your own blog, you will be able to get highly targeted search engine traffic, which is the best kind because it is completely free. This traffic will generate leads for your business, and these leads will turn into sign ups and sales for you, which ultimately means more money for you.

Having your own blog is also important because all of the emails you send out will direct the reader back to your blog. For example, if there is some kind of special offer or breaking news that is related to your business, you can make a blog post about it, then send out an email blast to your list letting them know about the news or special offer, and include a link back to your blog for more information. This is much better then just sending people to your company replicated website.

If setting up your own blog is new to you and you think it might be over your head, don’t worry, it is actually very simple. You will want to use a self hosted wordpress platform, which means you will have to pay a small monthly fee. Remember, this is a business and there are going to be some expenses involved. The small expense of running your own blog is one that is well worth it.

Don’t be scared to learn new things, set up a blog and start adding 1 new post a day. It will takes some time to start seeing traffic so be patient. The results you will see over time are worth the wait. A big mistake many people make is giving up to soon. Many people set up a new site, make a few posts, then give up after a week because they have not made any sales or signups. It is important to realize that you may not see any results for months, or even a year. But once your site gets noticed by google, and you start to get traffic, it will be definitely worth it.
