A Simple Change To Increase Your Results

Wake Up Early For SuccessIf nothing changes…then nothing changes…

One simple “change” anyone (including myself) can make (starting tomorrow) is to start waking up just a little bit earlier every day…

Waking up early is a common trait of successful people. Which makes sense because it’s hard to do and takes discipline.

If you set the alarm clock just 30 minutes earlier, you’ll get an extra 3 and half hours over the course of the week. If you use that time wisely, this one small change can add up to very big results over time.

Will you be tired?…Probably, but after about 5 weeks your body will adjust and it will get easier and easier.

Keep in mind, as always, The Compound Effect and Slight Edge principles are at work here (If you haven’t read these 2 books yet…pick them up today!) You’re going to have to give it some time before you see results. If you wake up early for a week, you won’t see any changes or new results….but over the course of a year, that adds up to 182 hours….What can you accomplish in 182 hours??

This is where the majority fail. They will try it for a week, not see a difference, think it doesn’t matter, then revert back to their old ways…Don’t do that…

Not a morning person?…Me either…For me, it’s a constant battle because I’m self employed, work from home, and technically don’t have to get it up if I don’t want to. But I stay focused and disciplined and force myself to get out of bed.

When I find myself slipping, I’ll remind myself that I was willing to wake up for my former boss at 5:30 a.m. every morning. Since I’m now my own boss, I should be able to do the same, or even earlier for myself and my business.

Waking up earlier is a simple change that anyone can do. Simple, but not easy (everyone loves sleep).

(*Sidenote – My secret to success is finding things that are “simple” to do, but also things that most people won’t do, then I do those things. Waking up early is one example.)

Let the “average” person sleep, while you’re up putting in the work.

Rise and grind!
